Special if you are using homekit. this fixes a very important bug including an issue that could disable remote access. so Apple personally disabled remote access on your home kit devices temporarily.

A HomeKit vulnerability was found in the current version of iOS 11.2 that gave unauthorized access to connected smart devices like smart locks and garage door openers.

this new HOMEKIT bug was pretty much like the mac root access bug that came on the MacBook Pro recently and this was disabled remotely by Apple temporarily until the fix came.

So today Apple just released iOS 11.2.1 to do exactly that.  there’s nothing new with this update at all other than the fix for the specific bug.

Apple pretty much-disabled home kit in their previous update and now they’ve just re-enabled again with all the bugs fixed.

if you don’t use homekit at all so there’s nothing to worry about. If you use, install this update as soon as you can to update your device. all you have to do is just head into software updates and click on the software updates button.
