How to Jailbreak Using Ra1nUSB:
If you are happy to go ahead using Ra1nUSB, follow these steps very carefully:
- use balenaeTcher 1.5.79 to restore the DMG file, ONLY 8GB required
- Once complete, Close your computer down and then boot up, going into your BIOS files. All computers are different but getting into BIOS typically involves pressing DEL, F10 or F12
- When your BIOS opens, disable the following settings: VT-D, EL, SerialPort, SecureBoot, Stack Network, Fastboot, Wake on LAN, make sure Virtualization is enabled
- save your changes and exit BIOS
- Plug your bootable USB drive in and turn your PC on again – make sure you are booting from the USB and not Windows
- From the Clover Bootloader, choose Boot macOS Install from Ra1nUSB
- Wait for the image to boot onto your computer – if you get any error messages, its game over. You can try again, but it is unlikely that it will work. If that is the case, you will need to go back to your BIOS and put everything right again
- If Ra1nUSB does successfully boot, you will see a screen that looks like the macOS installer screen – do NOT choose the macOS installation
- Instead, go to the top and click Utilities > Terminal
- In the terminal window, type in ra1nusb and press the Enter button
- The Checkra1n jailbreak should open, and you can proceed to jailbreak your device using the official Checkra1n installation guide for macOS.
